Sing to Me

So I don’t know if I’m late to the game or what, but have you guys heard of this Jason Mraz character? I just got his latest album, and I swear to you, it’s like he wrote nearly every song on there about the Alternate Economy. He should be our spokesperson or something. I’m actually not kidding about this. I’ve done some googling this morning, and (at least according to various interviews he’s given) his ideals sync up pretty well with ours. He’s like our long lost celebrity friend :).

Here, listen to some of his music and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

This one is just so Loving and Hopeful. It’s the perfect message to spread to the world.

This next one is great because it’s about forgiving yourself for past mistakes and Living your life looking forward. It’s a great reminder, and pretty catchy.

The next one is simply awesome. It’s like he sat down with me, asked “If you could write a song to dedicate  to all the people in the world, how would it go?” and then wrote this song. It perfectly illustrates how I feel about all you guys out there.

This last one I just like. 🙂

What better way to spread the message of Love than through song? It’s so refreshing to listen to music with an optimistic message, instead of the self loathing stuff that is a mainstay on our airwaves. Did you know that the Alternate Economy has started to put together some radio shows? Oh, you didn’t? Well, in that case, here’s a link so you can start listening (Isn’t shameless self promotion fun?).  Feel free to submit your requests for future radio shows. Future themes are Hope, Passion, Spirit of Receiving and Love. If you know of songs that would fit these themes, don’t hesitate to let us know in that little comment box below.

Speaking of self promotion…

This blog post brought to you by SustainableUtopia (hey, all you other AE contributors, can you start identifying yourselves too. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a blogging noob, but the only way I can tell when someone else is writing an article, is if I read it in my email first. I’d like to be able to check out your blogs as well, as I’m sure our other readers would like to do. Thanks 😉 )
